2014 Coleman Vineyard Pinot Noir
The Coleman vineyard is close to the Van Duzer corridor, an opening through the Coast Range mountains to the Oregon coast, providing hot summer days with afternoon winds cooling the evening temperatures significantly. We believe this temperature variation, along with the volcanic soils, contribute to the phenolic characteristics and brightness of the wine, providing a structure for aging and signature dark cherry and spice flavors with intense color.
This wine features a beautifully rich bouquet of dark bramble, earth, and minerality. It tiptoes onto the palate with the elegance of rose, lavender, and bright tart pie cherry. Moving into a bold and steady full-bodied experience, savory fresh sage, rich earth, and luscious pomegranate. The finish envelopes with each sip leaving a prominent tannin imprint.
